Bea Alonzo


Born from a British father and a Filipino mother, Phylbert Angellie Ranollo Fagestrom, known as Bea Alonzo, is a successful Filipina film and television actress, host and singer.


In 2002, at age 14 going on 15, she joined the TV drama "Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay" as Katrina Argos. She later mainly starred in major soap operas like "It Might Be You" as Cielo San Carlos, "Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin" as Jasmine Fontanilla, "Maging Sino Ka Man" as Jacqueline Madrigal and reprised her role in the series sequel "Maging Sino Ka Man: Ang Pagbabalik."


In June 2008, Ms. Alonzo released her debut album "The Real Me" under Star Records. It was also in mid-2008 when it was announced that she would play the leading character Betty Pengson in the TV sitcom "Yo Soy Betty La Fea," which originated from Colombia. The Philippines' version was entitled "I Love Betty La Fea." The show premiered on September 2008 at the prime time slot; it ran for eight consecutive months.


In December 2011, she renewed her contract with ABS-CBN and was set to do two movies under Star Cinema and a reunion drama, "The Mistress," with her on-screen partner, John Lloyd Cruz. Tagged as This Generation's Movie Queen, she currently stars in the 2014 TV drama "Sana Bukas pa ang Kahapon" as Rose Buenavista-Salvador opposite Paulo Avelino.
